Saginaw Police are investigating several shootings that happened between 6:30 last night, and 12:45 this morning.  A fifteen year old boy suffered non-life threatening injuries when he was shot last night while sitting on a porch on the 4100 block of Lamson.  Street.  Witnesses say a gold colored Chevy Malibu pulled up and started firing, police were then called to the 1100 block of Union at 11:30 p.m. where a 17 year old girl had been shot in the foot.  An hour later a 17 year old boy was shot at the same residence, then at about 12:45 this morning an 18 year old was shot near the same location of Union.  Police say he was driving when he was hit by two bullets.  They’re not sure if the shootings are related.

Saginaw Township Police are searching for the woman who held up the new Rite Aide store on State Street.  Police say she was purchasing a bottle of Vitamin Water at about 7:00 p.m. when she showed the clerk a gun in her purse and demanded money.  She left with an undisclosed amount of cash.  She is about 30 years old, 5’4” and about 160 pounds.

A BayCounty judge has ordered 25 year old Christopher Wilson to undergo a psychiatric evaluation to make sure he is competent to stand trial.  Yesterday Wilson was ordered to a facility in Ypsilanti.  He’s accused of murdering 37 year old Pam Wilson, and was on probation from other charges at the time of her murder.

Several Mid-Michigan communities are beginning to experience trouble with overgrown lawns on homes that have been abandoned or foreclosed.  Saginaw City Council wants to know who is responsible for maintaining properties after homeowners vacate.  In some cases the banks that reclaim property do hire lawn services, but in some areas overgrown lawns and trees are becoming highly problematic before city officials act.

 

A Bay City judge has ordered a woman to undergo a psychological evaluation.  Cassandra Pasquale is accused of child abuse after a seven year old boy confessed to being beaten, burned, and starved by Pasquale and her husband Michael.  The judge has said Pasquale may not be criminally responsible for her actions.  Her attorney plans to enter a not guilty plea by reason of insanity.
